3. Continue to use HTTPS: the VPN tunnel ends at the VPN server, while HTTPS protects the application connection to the website.
4. Keep your client updated and use provider-supported protocol settings.

Keep in mind

A VPN changes the network path and public IP seen by many sites. It does not remove malware, erase cookies or guarantee anonymity.
